Rapper Ken Carson has made a debut in Fisch, loitering around the Underground Music Venue, and has added to the UMV’s unique Rod lineup. Obtaining the Xorcist Rod in Fisch may seem intimidating, but it’s much easier than you think, which is what I’ll be covering in today’s guide, including the Rod’s stats.
Let’s get into it.
Start playing Fisch via Roblox. Also, check out my guide on the Fisch Crazy Cat Lady Riddles answers when you’re done here.
Obtaining the Xorcist Rod in Fisch
Ken Carson
First, head into the Underground Music Venue and speak with Ken Carson, who stands at the front of the stage. If you don’t know how to get here, there is a Ken Carson interactive at Moosewood, which helps steer you in the right direction.
First Quest
Catch 3x Electric Minnows
Minnows are a common fish found around the bay area of Roslit. Once you have three of them, I suggest heading to an appraiser and paying for mutation rerolls until all three carry the Electric Mutation.
Catch 2x Lobsters
Lobsters are also very easy to get, caught using Crab Cages out in the ocean. I suggest finding somewhere unaffiliated with an island and dropping a small handful until you get both Lobsters.
Upon returning these to Ken Carson, you’ll receive the * Bobber (Asterisks), the * Title (Asterisks), and a Chaotic Enchant Relic.
Second Quest
For the next quest, both fish appear in the Crystal Cove bestiary, which is very local to the Underground Music Venue. Both fish required are also Mythic, so whilst a little more challenging than the previous quest, they’re still easy to catch.
Get 1x Shiny Musical Crab
The hardest of the two. You can either appraise for the Shiny mutation (like for the Electric Minnows), or try triggering a Shiny Surge and Aurora Borealis before placing Crab Cages to maximise luck and shiny chance.
Get 3x DJ Spinopus
Use Totems to your advantage, ideally setting up a Clear Nighttime, whilst using Snare bait. If you don’t have Snare, I suggest using any high Universal Luck bait.
For completing this quest, you’ll gain the X Halo (headwear).
Third Quest
Hunt 1x Hexed Ancient Megalodon
I suggest using the No Life Rod for the best chances at getting a Hexed Mutation. You’ll also need a Megalodon Hunt Totem and Shark Head Bait for the best catch chances.
Find Ken’s lost Stage Monitor
Quite literally next to the drum kit behind Ken on the right.
This quest rewards you with the Stage Monitor Lantern.
Final Quest
The quests so far have been rather forgiving, with easy ways to get them done without investing a ton of materials or time. That changes now.
Catch 1x Apex Fish using the Duskwire Rod
First, use the Fischopedia to find out when the next hunt is happening. I suggest being in a private server when it takes place so that you’re not in competition with other players for the Apex Fish.Use the Duskwire Rod. This Rod has comically bad stats for Apex Fish, so if you can, I encourage you to enchant it with Invincible and Heruclean to fix the negative KG bandwidth and the 10% control bar.
If you somehow pull this off, you’ll finally get the Xorcist Rod, alongside the X Title.
Xorcist Rod
Lure Speed: 75%Luck: 200%Control: 0.08Resilience: 25%Max Weight: Inf KGDisturbance: +3
The UI for this Rod is as confusing as it is cool. Above the progress bar is a smaller bar with four slots, which fills passively while in the minigame. Each time a bar fills, you can right-click to make the teeth clamp down on the fish and bite it, adding a sizeable percentage to your progress.
The rod also has a chance to apply the Xperimental Mutation, which makes fish turn a silver colour and spew pixelated squares from their body in all directions. (7x selling value)
