Crustacean Mix has a single-digit roster of fish which prefer it. However, its accessibility and favourable stats make it a solid choice for casual fishing. My guide tells you How To Get Crustacean Mix in Fisch, including its stats, and lists the fish that prefer the taste of this aquatic bug’s delight.
Let’s get into it!
How To Get Crustacean Mix in Fisch
Crustacean Mix has two primary attainment methods, including:
Deep Tackle Box
Requires around 2.4 crate openings on average to get a/several Crustacean Mix. Has approximately a 60% chance of containing this bait type.
Merchant’s Rod
From the passive ability. The rod is no longer available, but if you already have it, theres a 50% chance to catch a random bait alongside the biting fish. This excludes Limited Time Baits, and overall isn’t as guaranteed as the Deep Tackle Box.
Obtaining Deep Tackle Boxes
Deep Tackle Boxes only exist in the Outer Deep (connected to The Deep), with a Magnet Bait preference to heighten the chance of snagging one. They’re also a reward from completing the Bounty Tracker’s Quest, which gives you 5x Deep Tackle Boxes per bounty.
They’re not too hard to fish up if you take a Magnet Rod, which substitutes for the Magnet Bait, saving you resources.
When cracked open, the drops inside include:
Crustacean Mix: 60% chanceBio-infused Coral: 30% chanceLuminous Flakes: 10% chance
Crustacean Mix Stats
Only being a Rare bait type, the Crustacean Mix has a lot to be desired, but is still a fairly decent bait regardless.
Preferred Luck: 90%Universal Luck: 65%Resilience: 5%Lure Speed: 15%
What Is The Easiest Way?
As mentioned, I highly recommend taking a Magnet Rod to the Outer Deep and repeatedly fishing in that area using it to pick up Deep Tackle Boxes. If you use a regular rod, you’re more likely to catch fish than bait boxes, with the latter being an occasional bonus.
In doing this, you’re also stockpiling some higher-tier baits than the Crustacean Mix, including the Bio-infused Coral and Luminous Flakes.
To get the mentioned Magnet Rod, head to Terrapin Island and purchase it for 15,000 C$ from the merchant.
Favouring Fish
Currently, only 9 fish favour the Crustacean Mix. This doesn’t mean you can’t use it elsewhere across the seas, but you’d fare better if specifically trying to find the following:
