Ready for streaming at the end of this month on Sky TV in the UK – though still not sure when it’ll show up in the US yet. Tahar Rahim (The Serpent, Un Prophète) and Scottish BAFTA award-winner Izuka Hoyle (Boiling Point, Big Boys) star in Prisoner. Not to be confused with the classic UK sci-fi series “The Prisoner” or the Australian series from the 80s also called “Prisoner” – this is an entirely new idea. Prisoner follows Amber, a young prison transport officer tasked with escorting Tibor, a trained killer & high-value inmate, to court to testify against his elite crime syndicate. When their convoy is brutally ambushed, she’s forced to put her life in his hands. As the sole survivors, handcuffed and on the run, they must race to reach their destination alive and on time. Along the way, their uneasy alliance is tested as the syndicate closes in.
