PS5 players have got a brand new, spooky and cozy puzzle game arriving today on the PlayStation Store. The latest title is developed by Absolutely Games and published by Secret Mode.

Fangtopia releases today for PlayStation 5 owners via the PS Store. The relaxing tile-laying puzzle game is filled with merry monsters and goofy ghouls. Players need to put pieces together, placing tiles onto a hex grid that surrounds a creepy castle of their choice.

The experience of the new game involves building magical landscapes, raising mesmerizing landmarks, and crafting a monstrous paradise for friendly beasties.

What to expect from Fangtopia’s cozy game?

Fangtopia features a carefree, scare-free world of spooky delights. Players are required to build the most beautiful worlds they can or try to construct the highest-scoring kingdoms. It’s entirely up to them how they do it. However, there is a tile limit, and they will need to deploy every trick if they want to top the leaderboards.

The tiles are available in six types: fields, towns, mountains, forests, railroads, and rivers. The gameplay involves connecting tile edges to matching terrain types. This allows players to score points and access objectives while progressing forward. An official description further reads, “Watch as your world grows into a hauntingly beautiful landscape filled with misty mountains, dark woods, ghostly railways, snaking rivers, charming towns, and more!”

The PS5 puzzle game offers three modes: Fangtopia, Island, and Ghoulish. The Fangtopia Mode involves crafting delightfully spooky worlds in short, restful sessions. In Island Mode, players connect an ocean of archipelagos by laying down railway track tiles for the Ghost Train. The Ghoulish Mode requires building bigger, bolder worlds with a wider spread of tile types.

Players need to meet score goals to acquire a wide array of weird and wonderful landmarks. Later, they need to complete their special objectives to unlock more tiles and expand their world.

While the game offers a spooky atmosphere, its monsters are not frightening or horrifying. The experience feels totally cozy. Additionally, there’s also an ASMR Audio Mode where players can simply relax their senses by enabling ASMR settings for added comfort.
