A highly anticipated PS5 console exclusive action RPG turned out to be a surprise hit with critics, earning rave reviews. S-Game’s Phantom Blade Zero will launch soon on the PS Store and Steam, and it looks like players are in for a great time.

Phantom Blade Zero, which will launch on Thursday, October 29, currently boasts a Metacritic score of 88/100 on both the PS5 and PC. The PS5 score is based on 26 reviews whereas the PC score is based on 33 reviews and counting.
Developed by Chinese studio S-Game, Phantom Blade Zero is a semi open world wuxia RPG. Players step into the shoes of “Soul,” who is framed for a murder and only has 66 days to live.
“Alone and hunted by his former comrades, he moves through a world of shifting loyalties and silent blades — determined to unravel the conspiracy that has condemned him,” the plot reads. “Rain mixes with blood, mercy entangles with vengeance. Soul’s journey is one of love, hate, and the fragile search for what it means to have a heart.”
