The adorable world of Hokko Life is getting a new sandbox spin-off, Hokko Spaces. It’s a bite-sized creative diorama/sandbox game by the same developers (Wonderscope Games) of the original life sim. The game is launching on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch on October 29th, 2026.
Ignore all your to-dos and spend hours arranging a tiny picnic spot!
Hokko Spaces is a colourful, casual creative sandbox where you design cosy little dioramas for a bunch of adorable animal residents. It involves woodland hideaways, pretty picnic spots, and flowery gardens. You build, decorate, tweak things until they look right, and let the locals enjoy their new surroundings.
The game has over 300 decorative items, including campfires, benches, picnic baskets, planters, loads of different flowers, and picket fences. You also get five different block types to shape the environment, including stone cobbles, grass, and sand.
You can also change the atmosphere of your dioramas by picking from four seasons, each with two different weather options. There are options to adjust the time of day, weather, and season. You get 26 furry visitors who can come and hang out in the dioramas you create. You’ll unlock them by completing simple goals, like destroying 20 weeds in your diorama.
Hokko Spaces comes with a Photo Mode
You’ll be able to experiment with filters, framing, focus, and other camera options to capture your favourite moments, then share your creations on social media. Take a look at the game below.
Hokko Spaces will launch on Steam and Nintendo Switch for $7.99. There’s also some extra beachside content Lei’s Beachside Pack DLC, which will cost $1.99. You’ll get a selection of rubber rings, a lifeguard’s chair, and a boombox to turn up the tunes, alongside new villager Lei.
