Pixel Lineage Dullahan Race
Until November 2nd, you can buy the Mythic-rarity Dullahan Race from the Candy Witch, who has set up shop next to the Goblin Merchant in town. Dullahan is also the most expensive item that the Candy Witch sells, costing 10,000 Candy. Once bought, however, Dullahan will exist across future saves, so don’t worry too much about losing your three lives and your hard effort being wiped.
Visually, the player takes on a headless model, with a blue soul-flame spouting from the gape of their neck where their head once sat. Helmets and hats won’t appear worn, but their stat bonuses remain applied.
Race Bonus: +5% Max HP, +5% Defence, and +3% CritHeadless Ride (AoE Battle Skill):
Requires 4 Energy, with a cooldown of 5 turns.Call your soul-fire steed and ride through EVERY foe (scaling with Attack or Magic, whichever is highest). Deals +50% Attack to enemies below 30% HP, and may also leave hit targets WEAKENED for two turns.
Race Evolutions
Dullahan I
Headless Ride hits harder: 1.45x (was 1.2x), and WEAKENS 75% of the time.
Bloodline Might: x1.05 HP, Attack, Magic, and Defence
Dullahan II
Dread Steed: Headless Ride’s Cooldown drops to 4 turns.
Bloodline Might: x1.10 HP, Attack, Magic, and Defence
Final Form – Dullahan III
Headless Rider: Deals +100% Damage to foes at 30% HP or less (was +50%)
Bloodline Might: x1.15 HP, Attack, Magic, and Defence
Is Dullahan Worth It?
To be honest, not really. For a Mythic, you can easily grind for free; it’s pretty fine, but its evolutionary upgrades are hardly worth the investment needed to earn all three Dullahan Heartbloods from Nightmare mode.
The main change is the Headless Ride skill, which has a large energy cost to perform, and, when enemies are at 30% HP or below anyway, chances are your next attack can 1-shot them. In instances where this isn’t true, and the fight is harder, then yes, the skill has more utility, but this is quite niche and situational all around.
How to Earn Candy
There are two ways to get your hands on Candy: Codes and Haunted Harvest. The latter is the intended and ideal method.
First, speak to the Goblin Merchant and redeem the code OCTOBER for 25 free Candy. This code expires when the event ends on November 2nd.
As for Haunted Harvest, I recommend tackling it in a way that lets you maximise Candy output in minimal time. To do this, follow my tips and tricks below:
Begin with the Easy Map
Helps you get a feel for the autumnal map, enemies, and learn about the routes. Each completion nets around 30-40 Candy, which I suggest investing in armour from the Candy Store to help quickly get stronger.
Play the Hard Map (LVL 25+ recommended)
The Hard Mode is a happy medium, where the Haunted Harvest can still be completed in minutes, whilst dropping far more Candy than the previous map. Now every completion nets around 100 Candy and can be completed in around 2-4 minutes.
Routes
Elite Mobs
Have the red icon in the route selector. Defeating these mobs will get you more Candy per run, especially if you get the Scarecrows.
Mini Boss
If you’re confident enough, always choose Mort the Gravedigger anytime you come across his route. He drops the second-highest amount of Candy per run, second only to the end boss.
The Old Barn
Whilst you won’t get candy here, the Old Barn is good for earning some materials and gold, needed for upgrades to help you get stronger.
Finally, the Pumpkin King Boss. This Boss always drops the most Candy, and has a two-phase fight. He’s pretty easy to take down if you’ve got good armour (such as one of the Candy Shop sets), which then lets you complete runs more quickly.
