PS5 is getting a surprise remake of an acclaimed Nintendo exclusive adventure game sometime in 2027. Level-5 has announced Professor Layton and the Curious Village Remake for all current-gen platforms except Xbox Series X|S.
2007 adventure game Professor Layton and the Curious Village’s PS5 Remake will offer ‘stunning visuals’
Professor Layton and the Curious Village is the first game in the popular series that’s now headed to PS5. Level-5 has promised “stunning visuals and greater immersion” in the remake.
“The tale begins as Professor Layton, a true English gentleman and famous archeologist, drives to the remote settlement of St. Mystere with his apprentice, Luke, in response to a request from the widow of a wealthy baron,” an official overview reads. “The baron’s will indicates that the family treasure, the Golden Apple, is hidden somewhere within the village, and whoever finds it will inherit the whole of the Reinhold Estate. The Professor and Luke must search the town for clues leading to the precious heirloom.”
