My Grand Blue Mining guide goes over how to level up the Life Skill and how to craft all available pickaxes. There are various types of ores to mine in Grand Blue, all of which are used in crafting recipes. There’s also Fishing in Grand Blue, which allows you to catch fish to sell for currency or to cook dishes. I’ve listed all of the Grand Blue Cooking Recipes in another guide.
Grand Blue Mining
Unlocking the mining feature is part of the tutorial in Grand Blue, so you don’t have to go out of your way to find it.
How to Level Up Mining
One of your first quests after visiting the blacksmith is to craft a Handle, which you can do with 2 Sticks and 1 Cloth. To get both of these materials, all you need to do is break any crates and barrels you find around Anchor Town. Be careful, though, as some of them contain bombs, which knock you back and deal damage.
Once you have the materials, you can head back to the blacksmith to speak with the Craftsman Henry NPC, who then rewards you with the Handle Recipe. You’ll need this recipe whenever you want to craft a new and better pickaxe. To upgrade your pickaxe, you need to level up your Mining Life Skill.
For instance, you start with the Rusty Pickaxe, which you have to use until you reach Mining Level 15. Then, you can craft the Steel Pickaxe once you have the Handle Recipe, and so on.
Levelling up your Mining skill is easy, though time-consuming, as you earn EXP each time you mine ores. The rarer the ores, the more EXP you get. Rebirthing is also crucial to maxing out your Mining Life Skill, as the two best pickaxes are locked behind Rebirth Level 1 and Rebirth Level 2. You can Rebirth a Life Skill once said skill reaches level 100.
