How to Get the Catalyst Hen in Grow a Chicken Fighter
One of the newest chickens to collect in Grow a Chicken Fighter is the Catalyst Hen. In fact, it’s quickly become one of the best chickens to hatch.
To hatch a Catalyst Hen of your own, you need the Colossus Egg. This chicken is of the Secret rarity, and it has a drop chance of below 1%.
There are 5 other chickens that can hatch from this same egg. These include:

How to Get the Colossus Egg
As the Colossus Egg is the only way of getting a Catalyst Hen, you need to know how to get this egg type in the first place.
1. Found Rooster
The Colossus Egg requires you to have the Founder Rooster, which hatches from the Thunder Egg.
2. Thunder Egg
The best way to get the Thunder Egg is by deploying a Static Chick in your coop, as they have a 100% chance of hatching one each time. The Founder Rooster has a 3% hatch chance, as it’s of the Legendary rarity, so it’s not too common.
3. Static Chick
Now, to get the Static Chick, I recommend using the Viking Rooster. This is because this chicken type has the highest hatch chance of Thunder Eggs at 70%. Luckily, the Static Chick is of the Common rarity with a 14% drop chance. Viking Roosters have a 2% chance to hatch from Nest Eggs, which are some of the most common eggs to get.
Catalyst Hen Base Stats
With no other factors involved, these are the base stats for Catalyst Hens. Those with the Inverted mutation have higher base stats overall, making them sought-after by players.
Normal Variant

Inverted Variant

The Inverted mutation grants higher base stats, with HP and Attack increasing by 15% and Speed and Power increasing by 5%. All eggs have a 0.5% chance to hatch a chicken with the Inverted mutation.
There’s also a chance of getting a new Inverted chicken when fusing your main chicken with one that already has the mutation. Depending on the Tiers of the chickens you wish to fuse, the chances of a successful Inverted mutation increase or decrease.
If the main chicken and the Inverted chicken are of the same tier, then there’s a 50% chance of the main chicken becoming Inverted. A 1-tier, 2-tier, or 3+ tier difference results in a lower chance.
Is the Catalyst Hen the New Best Chicken?
It’s definitely up there. I’d say it’s in the top 4 for sure, alongside the Eclipse Hen, the Kraken Chicken, and the Storm Colossus. In its base form, the Catalyst Hen has higher stats than the Kraken Chicken and the Storm Colossus, but slightly lower than the Eclipse Hen.
In my opinion, the Catalyst Hen is easier to get than the Eclipse Hen, as the latter requires hatching Ascension Eggs. You can get Ascension Eggs by reaching Rebirth milestones, with the first starting at 10 Rebirths.
You then need to Rebirth 100 times to get another, then 250 Rebirths, and finally, 500 Rebirths. There’s also a chance for players to get Ascension Eggs during Admin Abuse events, as well as the exclusive Kraken Chicken.
