There’s a lot of talk about meta this and fusion that, but if every player had the same Hens, the Pits and Tower would be significantly less fun. So, I want to tell you my tips and tricks on how to make the BEST Hens in Grow a Chicken Fighter. This guide will hopefully inspire you to try out some cool features and curate a battle menace.

How To Make The BEST Hens in Grow a Chicken Fighter
Hens (and Rarity)
Firstly, there are some Hens that stand out amongst the rest due to their rarity, base stats, and special skills.
I know I nagged about metas in the intro, but the 404 Chick (Cursed Egg) and Reaper Rooster (Haunt Egg) are sought after for good reason.
The 404 Chick has a DMG affinity, typically having good ATK, SPD, and PWR stats. On the other hand, the Reaper Rooster is great defensively, with solid HP and decent ATK and PWR.
Enough of the recommendations; I suggest investing in any Hen that catches your eye. Ideally, you want one from the highest rarity brackets (Celestial, Divine, and Secret).
Additionally, I think a good rule of thumb is that any Hen that hatches from the Blazing Egg is pretty good to use long-term.
Special Skills
Each Hen has a unique ability that they periodically unleash during combat. These Special Skills enhance performance, stun enemies, deal massive damage, the works. But, not every Hen starts with the most compatible skill for their build. I cover this more in the Fusion segment, but you can select Skills you like during Fusion and lock them in place to generate a new Hen with your chosen Skill.
I suggest trying out different Hens in the Pits and Tower to find a Special that works for them and you. After this, select your main Hen, and fuse them with the Hen you want the Skill from.
Corn Feeding
The longer you’re online and the more pit games you take part in, the more corn you can earn per second. Corn equates to Hen levels, which increase all of their stats simultaneously and make them stronger when taking on opponents during the Tower and PvP.
Somewhere in here, you should also work on rebirthing each time you qualify. This resets your Hen level and coop, but gives you a Cash, Corn, and Egg booster permanently. This, in turn, makes levelling quicker and more efficient at later rebirths, meaning your Hen gets stronger each time you rebirth.
Fusion
Fusion shuffles your Hen’s stats and appearance via RNG, with some input from the player. You have two locks which let you secure certain stats, such as appearance, level, and Special. I always recommend locking the Special if you’ve fused to gain it. For example, the 404 with Cycle of Ash, and the Reaper with Voodoo.
Generally speaking, you’re looking to reroll the Genes (HP, ATK, SPD, and PWR) to maximise them. Each Hen will have a set genetic limit which can be increased through Fusion. Fusion costs cash to do, so I suggest taking a trip up the Tower before modifying your Hen.
Inverted
A recent way to perk up your Hens is through Inverting them. Hens become randomly Inverted when hatching, and have a percentage chance to pass it onto a fused Hen based on their rarity. The higher the rarity, the more chance there is for a Hen to become Inverted via Fusion.
When applied, the Inverted Hen gains additional stats: +15% HP, +15% ATK, +5% SPD, +5% PWR.
UFO
One of the routine Pit events will mutate your Hen to increase its genetics. This is a great way to maximise stats without the risk of RNG through Fusion. Each pass, your Hen will become poisoned and fight below their level, so you should make sure your Hen is a high level to beat out the competition before the UFO event begins.
General Tips
If you’re ready to rebirth soon and want a head start, save up some eggs beforehand, hatch them post-rebirth, and immediately sell them to make some quick cash. I do this with Fortune Eggs usually, as they guarantee a Legendary, Mythic, or Secret, which are worth far more than lesser rarities.
It also helps to rebirth close to pit events, such as the Golden Goose, where you can run around and grab golden coins.
