At the time of writing this How to Beat EMOTIA Escape guide, there are seemingly endless floors to progress through, the highest I’ve gotten to is floor 12. After beating the higher floors, you’ve more or less successfully ‘completed’ EMOTIA Escape.
However, due to the gameplay style of EMOTIA Escape, there isn’t really an ‘ending’, so to speak.
You never know, there may be some free rewards to claim by redeeming EMOTIA Escape Codes.
How to Beat EMOTIA Escape
Please keep in mind that EMOTIA Escape is currently in Beta, which means things may change as the game receives updates and is fully released. The information written in this guide applies to the game’s state at this current time
How to Play EMOTIA Escape
To complete a floor, you and your teammates need to locate the purple devices.
One of the devices you need to deactivate to progress through the floors.
You can use the mini-map in the top right corner to see where the devices are, though sometimes there are walls blocking your path. When this happens, it’s time to figure out an alternative way around. Stamina is the bane of my existence; it runs out so quickly. You’re managing both your HP and Stamina, so keep an eye on your stats in the top left corner.

When interacting with a device, you need to complete a mini-game to successfully deactivate it. Some floors are themed after certain Emovils, which can change the minigames slightly.
Device Mini-games
There are various mini-games, including:
Hold to Keep it Green
Hold the ‘COOL’ button to keep the bar in the green zone until all the rectangles on the right are filled.
Match the Symbols
Click the symbols until they match those displayed above.
Drag to Find the Spot
Drag the button along the bar until the bottom bar starts filling up.
Emovil-exclusive
Use a torch to find where Emovil Nvee’s silhouette is amongst other shadows.
When you click the ‘DELETE’ button, lots of spam pop-ups appear, which you need to move out of the way to you can click ‘DELETE’ a second time.
Tap in the Zone
Click the screen when the bar hovers over the zone.
The Exit Zone
When all devices have been deactivitated, it’s time to head to the Exit Zone. The game states how many players need to go to the zone, but it’s best to head there just in case someone gets attacked by a monster. In the earlier levels, only one player is required to enter the zone. If nobody reaches the Exit Zone before the timer ends, everyone is defeated and you are sent back to the lobby.
Unlocking All Characters
There are 6 characters to unlock with Emotes, with the 7th being automatically unlocked for all players when you first start EMOTIA Escape. The first character you unlock costs 125 Emotes, the second costs 250 Emotes, and then the price increases to the regular 500 Emotes.
This starter character is Glee, and those you can buy are:

Passive Skills
For a more detailed look at the passive skills of each unlockable character, read my EMOTIA Escape Characters guide. All characters have unique passive skills and are unlocked via meeting specific requirements.
The passive skills of a character determine their play style, so it’s a good idea to figure out which ones work best for you. It’s also dependent on the other players in your team. If there’s a good range of characters and strong skills, your chances of beating floor 10 are increased.
Earning Emotes
Emotes are the main currency in EMOTIA Escape, which are basically golden coins. You passively earn Emotes by completing floors and playing the game in general. For extra Emotes, you can work through the Daily Quests, which usually entail three tasks. For example, there are quests such as:
Reach floor 7 in one runEncounter the Emovil of Echo at close rangeComplete 7 floors altogetherThere are lots more, which I’ll add to this section over time
Emotes are used to purchase new characters and unlock nodes, which grant buffs and skills when upgrading them. You can also spend Emotes to buy items from the in-game shop, such as Health Potions, Energy Potions, and Revive Tickets.
Emovils
The Emovils are the evil variants of each character. There are also Minions, but they are just general enemies that represent different emotions. Emovils are glitchy in appearance, and as the name suggests, they take on an evil aura. If an Emovil spots you during a run, it will chase after you and attack. With each attack, you take DMG, and if your HP is depleted to 0, you are defeated. You can come back with a Revive Ticket, though.
You should avoid Emovils at all costs, but sometimes it can be difficult, especially since they tend to hover around the devices. They can also attack you while you’re deactivating a device, so you need to be aware of your surroundings no matter what you’re doing.

You can visit the in-game shop to purchase a variety of items with Emotes, Morning Glories and Robux.
