“Some stories never leave us.” Cineverse has revealed a new trailer for the 20th Anniversary re-release of Guillermo del Toro’s celebrated, Academy Award-winning classic Pan’s Labyrinth. The film recently had a new jubilee premiere at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival this year after initially debuting in Cannes back in 2006 – exactly 20 years ago. It’s also hitting theaters again in the fall – in 4K, 3D, and also premium HDR by Barco. Del Toro’s sixth film at the time, Pan’s Labyrinth won 3 Oscars, including for Best Makeup, Best Cinematography, and Best Art Direction. Obviously deserving of all of these. Each version for this re-release has been overseen by Guillermo del Toro. Set in 1944 Francoist Spain after their Civil War, an imaginative young girl meets a Faun in the forest who tells her she’s a princess and that she must prove her worthiness by completing three dangerous tasks. Starring Ivana Baquero as Ofelia, Sergi López, Maribel Verdú, Doug Jones as the Faun and the Pale Man, Ariadna Gil, and Álex Angulo. It’s getting a full relaunch in theaters this October, especially unique showing it so many formats. Guillermo also commissioned a brand new poster with artwork by James Jean – also added below. Pan’s Labyrinth is considered one of del Toro’s masterpieces that might just be his finest creation. This is an obvious must watch when it’s playing this fall. // Continue Reading ›
