Fans of the friendslop genre: you must look out for this upcoming co-op multiplayer adventure. It’s from developer House House and publisher Panic. Called Big Walk, it has revealed its release date, which is August 4th, 2026.

House House is the Melbourne, Australia-based studio behind Push Me Pull You and Untitled Goose Game. Big Walk is their third game, and it’s launching on macOS, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Nintendo Switch 2.

It’s chaotic, that’s for sure

You head out into a huge open world together with your friends, exploring bushland, solving puzzles, and overcoming challenges. Progress depends heavily on teamwork, and many of the obstacles require you to come up with unusual ways of communicating.

That includes miming, singing, transmitting codes, gesturing wildly, or finding some other creative solution when normal conversation isn’t enough. For instance, you might be holding signs up to communicate with each other.

Big Walk uses a proximity voice chat system, so voices change depending on where players are and what they’re interacting with. Conversations fade as people move farther apart, echo through corridors, get muffled behind walls, and even crackle through walkie-talkies.

And, there’s a lot of walking! The game lets groups explore its open world at their own pace, finding their way through puzzles, discoveries, and various challenges. When words fail, you can rely on your arms instead. Characters can point, wave, gesture, or just flail around dramatically to get a message across.

Big Walk is full of tools and toys, so don’t you worry

You can use walkie-talkies, laser pointers, binoculars, megaphones, flares, whiteboards, cowbells, and a big golden head. I have no idea how you’d be able to use the last one, but it’s there if you need it. In fact, there are more bizarre items in stock.

You can play Big Walk with as few as two people or all the way up to twelve players. Apart from the usual challenges, there are some extra activities, too. Like you can stop and watch the sunset, or do something far more important, like stealing your friend’s binoculars and kicking them into the ocean.

You can wishlist Big Walk on Steam or PS5. The game also includes crossplay support.
