The Secret Tomb in Catch Bugs is a hidden area which houses 10 bugs and a powerful Net. Some of the rarest bugs can be caught from the Secret Tomb. These rare bugs sell for more money in Catch Bugs.

How to Unlock the Secret Tomb in Catch Bugs

The Secret Tomb is located in Duneburrow and needs to be unlocked by collecting three specific bugs. These bugs are:

Crescent Wing Butterfly
Located in Moon HollowRarity: Elusive
Wasp Moth
Located in the Deeproot CavesRarity: Exotic
Spiny Harvestman
Located in DuneburrowRarity: Elusive

There are three squares at the entrance of the Secret Tomb, each with a symbol of three different bugs. This serves as a clue as to which bugs you need to obtain.

From the Nets stall in Duneburrow, head straight forward with the waterfall and pond to your right. There’s a hole in the wall ahead, which you can enter to follow the path. You can only go further into the Secret Tomb once you catch the three required bugs.

You’ll need a decent Net to get these bugs, especially the Exotic rarity Wasp Moth. Elusive rarity bugs aren’t too difficult to get, but a Net with a strong Luck stat is definitely the way to go.

If you’re already in Dune Burrow, you might as well purchase one of the Nets from the location, such as the Cactus Net, Steampunk Net, and the Scorpion Net.

What is the Secret Tomb?

As the name suggests, the Secret Tomb is a secret area in Duneburrow. It’s where you can get the Bone Net from the NPC, Anpu. The Net costs a total of 200,000,000, making it one of the most expensive Nets to purchase in the game.

The Bone Net is a strong option for any player, with a Luck buff of 14,064%, a Speed buff of 228, a Maximum Weight of 1450kg, and a Strength stat of 44. It also has a passive ability which grants a +40% chance to get a Mutation when catching bugs at night.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do Mutated Bugs Count?

While I haven’t tried it myself, I don’t believe it makes a difference whether or not the required bugs have a Mutation or not. All you need to do is collect the bugs themselves. After obtaining each bug, the corresponding symbol in the Secret Tomb lights up, indicating that you’ve met one of the requirements.
