Remember Anthology Of The Killer? The 2024 PC hit is now available on PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch today. It’s developed by thecatamites, Tommy Tone and A. Degen, and published by harmony corp central committee.
The release includes the complete horror comedy series, which consists of nine separate entries. The nine games were originally released for free on Game Jolt between 2020 and 2024. Later, in 2024, the devs made it into a paid collection with bonus content for Windows, macOS and Linux.
Anthology Of The Killer is a walking simulator
BB is a college student who spends her time gathering material for her zines. Except her version of research involves wandering through a city that’s full of serial killers and things that probably shouldn’t exist.
You control BB, move through environments and interact with floating bubbles that trigger dialogue from her and other characters. Across the collection, she drifts through places like waterparks, dream resorts, secret rooms, theatre shows, art freeports and even spots selling beachfront novelty shirts.
She runs into drinky birds, bort dolls, police men and a lot of people who are very much not safe to be around. Absurd and grim, the game gives off the vibe that nobody is getting out of here alive. Take a look at the PS5 release trailer below.
Let’s look at some of the stories
Voice Of The Killer has BB working at a call centre near the edge of the city while something awful echoes from the sea. Hands Of The Killer shifts things into an apartment block where unsettling noises inside the walls hint that something is moving around where it shouldn’t.
Ears Of The Killer introduces a music scene called Crime Wave, where every song is about killing people. Face Of The Killer wraps it up with BB finally coming face-to-face with the Killer.
All nine games are part of a single loader with joypad support and bonus rooms, and even a free zine. Find Anthology Of The Killer on PlayStation5, PlayStation4 and Switch with a 10% launch discount on the full price of $7.99.
