You’re stuck somewhere you don’t belong
So, the only way out is to blast your way back to the Citadel in the Sky using a heavily armed Gunboat. From there, you’re constantly shooting, dodging, and fighting boatloads of enemies.
Gunboat God has 212 levels in total. It has quick-fire missions where you’re expected to keep coming back, improving your run, and pushing your high score. The missions, in turn, are spread across 20+ types. The list includes things like Collision Course, Outlast, and Boil?.
You get access to 8 different guns over the course of the game, ranging from cannons and lasers to bombs and the Vaporiser. There are 74 different upgrades, along with 10+ abilities, augments, and powers that let you tweak how your Gunboat handles and hits.
Next, there are 70 enemy types, alongside 5 boss fights that unfold across multiple phases. The environment also gets in on the action with things like underwater mines and acid rain raining down from above.
Gunboat God involves a lot of movement. It has dashing, crashing, and bashing through enemies while transforming your Gunboat on the fly to handle different threats.
And there are some extremely fun elements, too! For instance, you’ll meet Yeti, a talking crocodile who handles your upgrades. He’s basically your mechanic and your support system, helping you push your Gunboat to its limits while you try to claw your way back home.
