So, we’ve already talked about how we think Bite By Night is pretty neat and everything. We’ve got a codes guide, a beginner’s guide, and we’ve ranked both the classes and the killers. Well, the game just got some new content, so it’s time to talk all about that too with this Bite By Night update log. We’ll endeavour to keep this current to the latest major content update, so watch this space.

Bite By Night Update Log

The last major content update arrived on the 7th of April. The following additions come from the log for this update. 

Content

These are notable additions to the game itself.

New Skins

Daily Rewards

You can now get Scrap just by loading into the lobby every day. It only takes a second, so it’s worth doing if you want some more spending money.

New HUD

The in-game HUD got a bite of a makeover.

Warning

There’s now a photosensitive warning at the start of the game, due to the use of lighting that could become an issue for people with certain conditions.

Codes

The game now has a codes function. Rejoice.

Balance Changes

This is anything that changes the meta, makes things more effective, or less.

Price Changes

Some classes and skins have experienced price increases. If you’ve already got hold of them, you shouldn’t lose them.

Killer Skins

Aftermath – Raised from 1500 Scrap to 2500 Scrap.Hoax – Raised from 3500 Scrap to 5500 Scrap.Ruined – Raised from 2500 Scrap to 3500 Scrap.Spartan – Raised from 2000 Scrap to 3500 Scrap.Toon – Raised from 2000 Scrap to 3500 Scrap.

Survivor Classes

Fighter – Raised from 600 Scrap to 1350 Scrap.Medic – Raised from 600 Scrap to 800 Scrap.Security Guard – 900 Scrap to 1100 Scrap.

Barricade Minigame Changes

 Barricade CD raised to 8.Door Max Hits lowered to 3.

The Project Rebalances

Drill hitbox reduced.Drill wind up reduced slightly.Speed Mode switched up, changes max Stamina rather than Stamina regen.

Doppelganger Rebalances

Hitbox raised.Slight stun added to grab.

Rotten Rebalances

Scream now applies Deafness.

Survivor Rebalances

Stun added to Taser.Fighter HP raised to 110.Fighter Blindness debuff now longer. Fighter can also give Deafness debuff.

Fixes

Squashing bugs, improving performance, that all goes in here.

Gifting fixes.Fixed Medic healing over large distances.Fixed turbine glitching in Warehouse.Fixed stuck spot in Forest.Fixed The Project jump spots.Some Doppelganger disguise fixes.Doppelganger camera fixes.Security Cameras no longer idenifty disguised Doppelganger.Lobby loading fixes.Door fixes.Silencing fixes.

When’s The Next Update?

There’s no firm word on when we can expect the next update. According to the devs, they want to focus on fixing some of the bugs and generally polishing the release vs adding additional content before it’s ready, so we might have a bit of a weight before we see anything huge, like new classes, Killers, or maps. That said, there’s no telling what the developers might have up their sleeves.
