Aside from Stands, guns are the next best thing, especially if you’re using one of the best guns. In Bridger Western, you can dual-wield weapons alongside your Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure-inspired Stand. Pairing a strong gun with one of the best Stands is key to creating a strong build, no matter if you’re an outlaw or inlaw.
Bridger Western Best Guns
Guns are split into Primaries and Secondaries, but this doesn’t always determine the overall strength of the weapon.
Best Guns
The current best guns are:
Malcolm .70Winchester RepeaterWhitney Dragoon
Malcolm .70
The Malcolm .70 is a secondary weapon and can hold 4 bullets at a time. With it being a rifle with a scope, it’s great at long range, so you can blast through enemies before they even notice you. The DMG you deal with this gun does not scale off the distance between you and your targets.

Winchester Repeater
Another secondary weapon in the best slot. It’s a revolver that holds up to 8 bullets, and despite its type, it’s got pretty good range, accuracy, and fire rate. It is, by far, the best revolver in Bridger Western right now, so if you’re a fan of this gun type in games, this is the one to go for. It does not excel in melee range combat, but if you’re a decent distance away, you can make the most of this weapon.

Whitney Dragoon
The first primary weapon on the list. While it has its faults, the Whitney Dragoon can deal a heavy amount of DMG in battle. It has high accuracy, so you’re almost guaranteed to always hit your targets. However, I can’t talk about this gun without mentioning its extremely slow reload speed.
This can have its disadvantages, especially in close-range combat. The enemy can easily strike you whilst you’re reloading. With some practice and ammo management, you can make it work; it’s worth it. Be careful when reloading, because if you reload with bullets still left over, you permanently lose that ammo. Make sure the chamber is always empty before reloading.

Explaining the Gun System
As mentioned, there are both Primary and Secondary guns. You can wield both once you reach Tier 3. I recommend getting to this level as soon as possible, as it also unlocks the option to purchase permanent horses.
If you have a gun, you need to think wisely about your current Stand. Some Stands, when equipped, decrease the overall DMG you deal when using guns. There are, however, Stands that do not affect your gun DMG.
Most guns are purchasable from the Gun Store, but others have specific unlock requirements. For example, the Mare’s Leg gun requires you to fish out the Rusted Mare’s Leg with a fishing rod before paying 1.5K Moola to Flint to fix it.
Best Cards to Use With Guns
There are cards you can equip to boost the overall power of your guns.
A True Cowboy
Your Gun DMG increases by 17% when you’re on horseback
Desperado
You deal more Gun DMG the lower your HP is
One to avoid, if you’re focusing on using guns in combat, is the Boy With Fists card. This is because it reduces your accuracy with guns by 35%, but increases your melee DMG by 20%.
