Rune Slayer Factions – Locations and How to Join

There are 2 Rune Slayer Factions to choose from, but where do you find them and how do you join them?

As a Holy Knight, members of the Demon Sect can defeat you without the risk of a penalty.

How to Join a Faction

From the Starter Village, follow the path to the NorthKeep heading North across the grass (use the compass at the top of your screen to keep track of which direction you’re going in!)At this point, you should be walking by the river. Keep an eye on the left side to spot a gap in the wall where you can see an opening and an archway that takes you to Lakeshire (you’re now facing the West)Set your spawn at the inn in Lakeshire

How to Join the Holy Knights

Once you leave the Lakeshire inn, head to the left to enter the Knight’s Templar buildingWalk onto the wooden elevator and wait to be taken to the next floor upHead up the stairs to the left of the elevatorAt the end of the staircase, go to the right and jump up the rocksFollow the path and head to the right again (follow the lanterns) – if you’re in the right place, you’ll see a bunch of NPCs sitting around a tableWalk towards the NPC with long white hair and his arms crossed (his name is Arthiel, the Sacred Blade)Select the dialogue option: “I want to join your cause”

Make your way to the wooden elevator in the Knight’s Templar and go to the next floorIgnore the stairs to the left and instead walk straight aheadSpeak to the Sigurd NPC by the locked door to pay a fee to open it, granting you passageIn the next area, head towards the stone bridge, cross it, and then make your way to the thin stone path to your leftWalk past the lava, continue to follow the path, cross another small piece of stone and make your way across the small stone platformsIf you’re on the correct path, you’ll pass a small lava waterfall to your right. Head to the right side and continue on to find a slanted piece of rock that goes downwardFollow the path of the obby until you find the red flooring and lanterns until you see a hole in the ground with lava to the sideJump down the hole, avoiding the lavaOnce you reach the bottom, you’re in the Demon Sect!Walk past the swirling red pool in the middle, and speak with Malzareth, the Worldscorcher (he has a moustache and a red axe)Choose the option: “I would like to join you in desecrating this world”
