Sebastian Stan is a Schmuck in First Trailer for ‘The Apprentice’ Film

Briarcliff Ent. has revealed the first official trailer for the film titled The Apprentice, the latest work from acclaimed Iranian-Danish filmmaker Ali Abbasi, known for his two previous films Holy Spider and Border. The Apprentice premiered at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival earlier this year to mixed reviews – it’s fine but not hard-hitting enough, and too generic in its presentation of this asshole businessman. 1970s New York: determined to emerge from his powerful father’s shadow and make a name for himself, aspiring mogul Donald J. Trump is in the earliest days of his career when he encounters the man who will become one of the most important figures in his life, political fixer Roy Cohn. Seeing promise in young Donald, the influential attorney teaches his new acolyte how to amass wealth and power through deception, intimidation and media manipulation. The rest is history.
