“Wait, you’re telling me I have a ‘budget guardian angel?!'” Ha ha. Lionsgate has revealed the first look teaser trailer for a new comedy movie coming up soon called Good Fortune, written and directed by Aziz Ansari, making his first feature after directing episodes of “Master of None” previously. This mainstream comedy is set for release in theaters nationwide this October in the fall. A well-meaning but rather inept angel named “Gabriel” meddles in the lives of a struggling gig worker and a wealthy venture capitalist. He takes a liking to a simple gig worker named Arj who sometimes does tasks for the very wealthy VC named Jeff. He makes them trade places to understand money won’t solve problems, but when it does, he loses his wings and must join them down on Earth as their roommate. There’s probably more lessons to be learned about money as the story goes on, of course. Keanu Reeves stars as the angel Gabriel, along with Seth Rogen, Aziz Ansari, plus Keke Palmer, Sandra Oh, and Stephen McKinley Henderson as well.
