There are tons of pets available, with each offering passive abilities to improve your garden. But what are the Top 5 Pets in Grow a Garden? We’ll go through our best picks and explain why you need them in Grow a Garden.

Top 5 Pets in Grow a Garden

Let’s get straight into it!

1 – Mole

You can get the Mole inside of a Night Egg from the Lunar Glow event, with a 22% chance of it hatching. The mole will dig every 80 seconds when placed in your garden. As it does this, it has the chance to find pieces of gear or Sheckles. Having an extra source of income is great, but the chance to find gear which may not always be in stock is even better!

2 – Raccoon

The Raccoon has a 1% chance of being hatched from a Night Egg. This pet will copy a crop from another player’s garden every 15 minutes. The reason the Raccoon isn’t placed first is that you may get a common crop. This pet is only worth it if it copies high-value crops, or ones with unique mutations.

3 – Owl

Here, I’ll cover both the Owl and the Night Owl, which you can hatch from Night Eggs or obtain through milestone rewards.

The Owl gives a 0.22% XP boost per second to all the other active pets in your garden, and the Night Owl gives between 0.22-0.25 more XP. When a pet has more XP, it will age quicker, which increases their ability and how much it sells for.

4 – Praying Mantis

The Praying Mantis has a 4% chance of hatching from Bug Eggs, which you can purchase from the egg shop for 50,000,000 Sheckles. This pet prays for 10 seconds every 80 seconds, which increases the chance of any crops nearby obtaining a mutation by 1.5x. Mutations increase the value of your crops, so selling them is a great way to make a profit.

5 – Dragonfly

This pet has a 1% chance of hatching from the Bug Egg. When in your garden, it will give a random crop the Golden Mutation every 5 minutes. This mutation increases the value of your crops by x20! It also turns them a shiny golden colour. It works best if a rarer crop obtains this mutation, but either way, it’s a great pet to have.
