Pieces of the Past is one of the new guide/discovery quests in Palia. As players make their way to the new map zone, Elderwood, and help Nai’o look for a lost boy, this quest becomes available. Moreover, it is an introductory quest to the new Artifact and Relic system in the game. This guide will walk you through the Pieces of the Past quest in Palia.
How to Complete the Pieces of the Past Quest in Palia
Starting the Quest
The Pieces of the Past quest becomes available after completing the Elderwood quest for Subira. During the Elderwood quest, you will help Nai’o look for an Umbraan lost boy. At the end of the quest, Nai’o will give you an Umbraan Thing, which happens to be an Artifact. To learn more about the mysterious thing, players must pursue the Pieces of the Past quest, which they can find in the quest log.
Ask around about the artifact you found
Upon initiating the quest, you have to ask around about the artifact. As there will not be many villagers in Elderwood, you have to go back to Kilima Valley. The right person to answer you about the artifact is Elouisa. Once you are back at the Kilima Valley, open the map to find Elouisa. Go to Elouisa and speak with her about the artifact.
Meet the expert by the Elderwood Central Stables
After speaking with Elouisa, go back to the Central Stables location in the Elderwood map zone. Once there, interact with Elouisa to speak with her and Caleri. They will reveal that they have set up donation bins to send artifacts to the Umbraan Natural History museum.
Complete an artifact by donating all the pieces
After speaking with Caleri and Elouisa, go to the donation bins in the Central Stables. Interact with the Unmbraan Artifacts donation bin and select the bottom left one. Contribute the “Umbraan Thing” artifact to the bin. Doing so will reward you 1x Elouisa’s Fun Bucks. It is a new currency that you can spend at the Relic Shop.
Inspect the Relic Store
After completing one artifact, go to the nearby Relic Store and interact with it. Browse the store and exit or purchase a Relic of your liking. Once done, the Pieces of the Past quest will conclude.
