How to Complete the Mimsy Were the Borogoves Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Starting the Quest

Starting the Mimsy Were the Borogoves quest will require players to complete the Books With No Pictures quest. After that, they will have to reach Friendship Level 4 with Alice. Moreover, it requires that the players have unlocked the Forest of Valor biome and have made progress with the following characters.

Anna

Upon fulfilling all of these requirements the Mimsy Were the Borgoves quest will become available. Speak with Alice to initiate the quest.

Search for something buried near a “place of sunbaked pleasure”

Upon initiating the quest, Alice will ask you to help her find a treasure. Go to the Dazzle Beach biome and look for a buried bottle in the sand. Upon finding it, equip the Shovel and use it to dig out the bottle. Pick up the bottle and bring it to Alice. Go through the dialogues to reveal the next clue. It will require finding a “dark cavern with mystic lights”. Make your way to the Mystical Cave in the Dazzle Beach biome.

Search the Mystical Cave for Mome Raths

Now, continue ahead in the Mystical Cave to find the Mome Raths on the ground. Speak with Alice and go through the dialogues. Equip the Watering Can and water every Mome Raths group. Continue going down each floor and water all Mome Raths. Once on the bottom floor, you will see another bottle in the water. Equip the Fishing Rod and cast the line into the ripple to catch the bottle. After getting the poem in a bottle, bring it to Alice.

Search for the Jabberwock in its “house of bark”

To find the Jabberwock, go to the Forest of Valor and go to the northwest corner. Here, you will find a log with the Jabberwock inside it. Make sure to bring Alice with you as well. After finding the Jabberwock’s lair, speak with Alice. She will tell you to get some candles to make the Jabberwock go away and get whatever is inside.

Gather the materials to craft Wonderland Candles

Here are all the materials that you need to gather to craft 6x Wonderland Candles.

3x Tinkering Parts: Craft it at the Crafting Station using Iron Ingots.

6x Glass: Craft it at the Crafting Station or purchase from Kristoff’s Stall for 50 Star Coins.

9x Coal Ore: Mine the mining nodes to get it or purchase from Kristoff’s Stall for 5 Star Coins.

10x Red Bell Flower: Forage from the ground in the Forest of Valor biome.

12x Yellow Daisy: Forage from the ground in the Peaceful Meadow biome.

After gathering all of the materials, go to the Crafting Station and craft 6x Wonderland Candles. The recipe for Wonderland Candles will be in the Furniture tab.

Retrieve What’s Inside the Log

Now, go to the Jabberwock’s lair location and start placing the Wonderland Candles around the log. Doing so will make the Jabberwock go away from the log. Now, interact with the log to retrieve the Kaleidoscope. Open the map to find Alice and interact with her to give her the Kaleidoscope. Go through the dialogues, and the quest will conclude.

Rewards

Completing the Mimsy Were the Borogoves quest will give 880 Friendship Points as a reward.
