Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown does not offer a range of weapons for the main character like many other Metroidvania games instead, it lets players use the character’s main signature weapons. However, the game does offer two additional gear items that play a crucial role both in combat as well as in traversal around Mount Qaf and its Ancient City. These two additional weapons are a Bow and a Chakram.
In this guide, we’ll tell you how to unlock Bow and Chakram in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.
How to Unlock Bow & Chakram in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
The Bow and the Chakram weapons are a part of the main storyline quest in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown and players will get to unlock them during the ‘Lost in Mount Qaf’ main quest. It is one of the early-hours quests in the game and upon reaching the Lower City to save Prince Ghassan, they will have to find a way to get past Simurgh Gate.
At this point, the quest will require players to find Menolias in the Forest located on the east side of the Lower City. Players will have to make their way towards the east side and get past The Haven, a safe hub where players can meet other NPCs and upgrade equipment. Continuing ahead from The Haven will allow players to reach the Hyrcanian Forest after solving the Waterwheel Puzzle and defeating the Undead Prisoner mini-boss.
Once at the Hyrcanian Forest biome, keep progressing ahead to face Erlik, another mini-boss. Upon defeating Erlik, continue ahead to step into a room to find Menolias’ Bow. It will unlock the Bow of Menolias ability which allows you to shoot arrows from the quiver by pressing the Y/Triangle button.
Upon finding the Bow, the quest will be updated and require you to reach the Upper Citadel. Players will have to use the Bow to shoot arrows to open new platforms to climb up and proceed ahead in the biome. As players continue ahead toward the quest marker, they will find Menolias. Talk to Menolias to learn that the Bow can also be used as Chakram unlocking another ability named ‘Chakram of Menolias’.
The Chakram ability is used by holding the Y/triangle button and allows players to unlock locked doors and rooms by hitting certain mechanisms. Pressing the Y/Triangle button again will allow players to retrieve the Chakram.
