Disney Dreamlight Valley: How to Complete Something Comes A’Knocking Quest

Disney Dreamlight Valley’s recent update and expansion release have a ton of new content for players to explore and unravel throughout the valley and the new world, Eternity Isle. Eternity Isle is accessed through purchasing the expansion but the new content in the valley is for all the players and one of the major additions in the free content is a new character, Jack Skellington.

Players will be able to unlock Jack Skellington and invite him to the valley by completing a hidden quest named ‘Something Comes A’Knocking’. It is a friendship quest for Merlin that players will get to start in the latest patch.

In this guide, we’ll go over how to complete the Something Comes A’Knocking quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to Complete the Something Comes A’Knocking Quest

As it is one of the hidden quests and doesn’t come up in the Quests Log, players can start the quest by finding and picking up a Matryoshka Doll found in the random biomes of the Valley.

However, these dolls will not spawn in the biomes until players unlock the Forgotten Lands biome in Dreamlight Valley. It will cost 15,000 Dreamlight to unlock the Forgotten Lands and once players have unlocked it, 4 Matryoshka Dolls will appear in the valley each one in the random biome.

For us, the dolls were located in the following biomes.

The Plaza

Peaceful Meadows

Forest of Valor

Sunlit Plateau

The dolls might spawn in Dazzle Beach, Glade of Trust, or Frosted Heights for you so, make sure to explore all of the biomes to get all 4 Matryoshka Dolls. Upon gathering all 4 dolls, go to the Forgotten Lands biome and find the tree with the Pumpkin symbol on it. For us, it was on the Northeast side of the biome.

Once you have found the tree, interact with it and place all 4 dolls inside the slot to unlock Jack Skellington. Welcome Jack Skellington to the valley and take a picture with him.

After that, talk to Jack Skellington and place his house foundation somewhere in the valley to build his house by interacting with Scrooge’s sign costing 5,000 Star Coins. Once all is done, talk to Jack Skellington again to conclude the quest.

Completing the ‘Something Comes A’Knocking’ quest will give the following rewards to the players.

500 Friendship Points

Unlock Jack Skellington

Unlock Kack Skellington House
