The world map of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora consists of three different regions each one holding unique Flora and Fauna for players to discover that can be of great assistance in crafting and cooking. There are various ways of traveling across the world map including a fast travel feature and summoning your Ikran companion to fly on greater heights but there is another way to travel quicker within the areas of a region and that is acquiring a Direhorse.
In this guide, we’ll tell you how to get a Direhorse in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.
How to Get a Direhorse in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
The Direhorse creatures are limited to the Upper Plains region of the world map and players will get to reach this region by progressing in the main story questline. It is the second region that players will get to unlock and the very first quest that they will get to pursue in that region will teach you how to tame and acquire a Direhorse.
The Wandering Clan is the first of the Zeswa Clan quests and as players start the quest, they will reach an open field full of Direhorses. They need to calmly step into the field and press the respective button prompted on the screen to start soothing the Direhorse while reaching toward the Direhorse.
Once players have reached the Direhorse, they need to go to the back of the Direhorse to get on its back and start riding it. However, unlike your Ikran companion, these Direhorses are not your permanent mounts nor do they have any customization options. You will not be able to call them to ride whenever you want instead, you have to find a Direhorse every time and soothe it to mount it.
Fortunately, these Direhorses are frequently found running in the open fields of the Upper Plains region and they are easy to tame so if you considering exploring the Upper Plains region, it is best to do it on the Direhorse as it allows you to use both Na’vi and RDA weapons while mounted which makes it a great assistance in drive-by eliminations.
