The book that Rosa mentions can be found at Maleshov, where Hans is being held captive. Follow the initial steps of the main quest to find the passageway to Maleshov. After reaching Maleshov, you will be able to look for the book in the fortress. Now, the book is in the room of a lady in the main building of the fortress. The door to the main building will be locked and it will have a Hard (difficulty) lock. If you want to open it without lockpicking, rob any guard in the area and steal the keys.
Here are a few easy steps to reach the main building from the watchtower.
Go to the right side along the path and open the door ahead.
Rob the guard on the watchtower to get the keys, and make your way down from the stairs.
Open the door to go outside and walk past the guard looking over the wall.
Turn to the left at the corner and go straight up from the stairs.
Use the keys to open the door and you will get inside the main building.
Searching for Rosa’s Book in the Main Building of Maleshov Fortress
Once you are inside the main building, go to the left side and you will hear a couple of guards upstairs. Hide underneath the stairs and wait for the guards to go into the room in front of you. After that, go up the stairs and unlock the first door on the left side. Enter the room and look to the left to see another door. Open it and you will see a lady sitting ahead.
Go behind the lady and silently take her down. You can do a silent kill as well if you want. After taking care of the lady, go by the window and you will find the book. The name of the book will be “A Book of Humourous Anecdotes”.
Now, you can go further up the stairs and open the last door to find Hans Capon. After that, make your escape from Maleshov and then return to Rosa to give her the book.
