Knuckle Sandwich is an RPG with all the fillings! It’s not like your usual turn-based game though. Each battle focuses on a minigame that is specifically made for that enemy, and they cover all of the bases – and I mean, all of them. Who’d have thought you’d get to see a combination of puzzles, a comedic narrative, and rhythm games all packaged up into a neat little parcel?

If you’d like to try Knuckle Sandwich, you can do so by purchasing the game or downloading the demo on the official Steam page!

Welcome to Bright City

On the surface, it sounds absolutely bonkers – and it is, in all of the best ways! Delving deeper into this Knuckle Sandwich, there’s an overarching story that follows a new resident in Bright City. He’s only just moved to what seems to be a picture-perfect island, but it looks like there’s a not-so-nice secret lurking in the shadows.

As you explore Bright City, based in Australia, you’ll find yourself wandering through rustling trees of the woods, the monotonous beeps of a supermarket, the hum of a train, and so much more. It’s safe to say that traversing through Knuckle Sandwich never gets dull.

Minigame Madness

Pixel graphics aside, the main selling point for Knuckle Sandwich is the unique combat gameplay. Think WarioWare, but an RPG! Each enemy has their own minigame to beat, making every battle feel fresh. Even though it’s a single-player game, I think it would be a great couch party game as you swap turns with friends.

Anyway, it’s not all a laughing matter, as something truly terrifying is taking over Bright City. Monsters are starting to swarm the streets and make their way inside buildings – and it’s your job (not your actual employment) to defeat them. Although, there’s a lot of humor injected into the story to give you a break from the island’s impending doom.
