Ruby and Amethyst are some of the Starstones that have been recently added to Palia. They are one of the minable gems that you can get through mining the mine deposits scattered throughout the Palian World. As there are several types of mine deposits through which you can get certain types of resources, one of the mine deposit types has a chance to drop Ruby and Amethyst while mining.

Where to Find Ruby and Amethyst in Palia
Ruby and Amethyst can be found throughout the cavern areas in the Bahari Bay map zone by mining any size of Palium Nodes. The Palium Nodes are only located in the cavern areas in the Bahari Bay map zone and you will require a Fine Pickaxe to mine the Palium Nodes of any size, Small, Medium, and Large. The drop rate of Ruby and Amethyst is low and you never know from which size of palium node you will get a Ruby or Amethyst. We find our first one from mining the Medium Palium Node in the Pavel Mines area of Bahari Bay.
Upon reaching Bahari Bay, go to the southwest side of the Flooded Fortress, and from there start looking for Palium Nodes and go into the Pavel Mines. You can find several deposits of Palium Nodes in the Pavel Mines but they are mostly looted by other players, if that is the case, you can go to the Hideaway Bluffs area as well to find Palium Nodes. After finding the nodes with Palium Ores on them, equip the Fine pickaxe by holding the R Button. Hold the Left-Click to mine the rocks to get the Palium Ores along with Ruby and Amethyst if lucky.
Ruby has the lowest drop rate than any other Starstone in the game because it is of Legendary rarity. Amethyst has a higher chance of dropping while mining the Palium Nodes.
Use of Ruby and Amethyst in Palia
Ruby is of Legendary rarity and Amethyst is of Epic rarity. The associated qualities of Ruby are Intelligence and Ambition whereas, the Amethyst has Diplomacy and Beauty. The selling price of Ruby is 4000 Gold and it is liked by Eshe. On the other hand, the selling price of Amethyst is 2,000 Gold and it is liked by Kenyatta and Tamala. If you happen to find a Ruby or Amethyst, you can gift them to any of the characters who like them once per week and it will activate a secret dialogue and count as a favorite gift for them which will give you the same friendship bonus as a loved gift.
