Upon reaching the Pale Reach region located in the southern region of the ocean, you meet up with the traveling merchant. She will offer you some new equipment for your ship that will help you catch the ice habitat fish. If you investigate the Icy Worksite, she will tell you about a tool named Icebreaker that she is working on but the essential parts are missing. It will start the Ice Breaker pursuit, one of the main pursuits in the new DLC that will earn players a new tool for their ship.
In this guide, we’ll tell you how to complete the Ice Breaker Pursuit in DREDGE.
How to Complete Ice Breaker Pursuit in DREDGE
Upon starting the Ice Breaker Pursuit, you need to find 3 Icebreaker parts scattered around the Pale Reach region. To be more precise about the Ice Breaker parts and their locations, you can find them at the following coordinates.
Icebreaker Plow Half found at the I,-4 coordinates.
Icebreaker Bracing found at the J, -6 coordinates.
Icebreaker Plow Half found at the F, -4 coordinates.
The first Icebreaker Plow Half part is found right after breaking the first ice blockade for the Photographer NPC. After that, you need to go to the Eastern Terminus location to find the Icebreaker Bracing and Western Bearing to find the other Icebreaker Plow Half. For both of these locations, players will have to break the ice blockades by filling it up with fish.
All of the Icebreaker parts can be found easily as there will be a shining golden light at their locations. Move your ship above their location and start the dredging process to get them. Upon getting all of the parts, go back to the Bleak Pontoon and interact with the Icy Worksite to place all three icebreaker parts.
The traveling merchant will start building the Icebreaker tool and install it on your ship. Now, you will be able to sail through the ice rocks in the water without damaging the hull of your ship.
