Every unit in Persona 5 Tactica has 2 kinds of weapons, Melee Weapon and Ranged Weapon. Players can order the units to use either one of the weapons during combat to inflict damage to the enemies but the starting weapons are not that impactful for later-on enemies in the game. Luckily, players will be able to get more powerful weapons in the game as they progress through the game.
In this guide, we’ll go over how to get new weapons for your units in Persona 5 Tactica.
How to Get New Weapons for Your Units in Persona 5 Tactica
There are two different methods by which players can get new weapons for their units.
Buying them from The Shop in the Hideout.
Forging New Weapons in the Velvet Room.
As players progress through the starting kingdom of the game, they will be able to unlock new features at the hideout. One of the features that players will unlock is the Shop from where they will be able to access the Weapon Shop to buy both Melee and Ranged Weapons for the units. Each unit will have access to unique weapons and will cost Yen, the primary currency in Persona 5 Tactica. You will earn Yen as you clear more enemies and stand victorious in the battles throughout the main objectives and quests for the hideout.
Another method and probably the best method to get new weapons is to forge them yourself in the Velvet Room. You will get access to the Velvet Room fairly early in the game but you will not get access to the Forge Weapons feature until you have reached Kingdom 3. After unlocking the Weapon Feature, players will be able to forge new weapons by fusing two Personas. However, the available weapons in the Forge Weapons option will require a certain level of personas that act as materials. Forging a new weapon will not only inflict regular damage but also inflict ailments on enemies such as Burn, Freeze, and more.
Apart from forging the Weapons in the Velvet Room, you can also disassemble them your owned weapons in return of Yen. If you are running low on money, then it is a great way to get thousnads of Yen back but keep in mind that, you will not get any type of persona back from disassembling a weapon that you forged, you will only get money. It is best to save the Personas that aren’t of use to you and use them to forge new weapons for your units or you can even fuse them to make a powerful persona.
