“We would rather die in glory, than live in shame.” Well Go USA has revealed a kick ass official US trailer for Chinese historical fantasy action movie called A Legend, made by filmmaker Stanley Tong. Decades after Stanley Tong and actor Jackie Chan teamed up to make the two Supercop movies (in 1992 & 1993) the two have joined forces again for this Chinese action adventure movie. It is also a sequel to The Myth and Kung Fu Yoga. An archeologist noticed that the texture of the relics discovered during the excavation of a glacier closely resembled a jade pendant seen in one of his dreams. He & his team embark on an expedition into the glacier. Professor Fang and his assistant somehow create a mystical connection with a heroic Han dynasty general, blurring the lines between past & present right as the general prepares to wage war against the brutal Hun army. They attempt to discover the truth. Starring Jackie Chan as Fang with Lay Zhang, Gülnezer Bextiyar, Li Chen, Aarif Rahman, & Xiao Ran Peng. It’s great to see Chan pairing up with Tong again, but this looks like a CGI mess. There’s so much going on, ideas criss-crossing all over the place. // Continue Reading ›
