“Do you want to save the SAS or not?” BBC has launched an official trailer for the next episodes in the mini-series titled SAS: Rogue Heroes (or just Rogue Heroes) about the original creation of the Special Forces unit, the Special Air Service (“SAS”) during World War II. The SAS was the brainchild of David Stirling, a young, gadabout aristocrat whose aimlessness in early life belied a remarkable strategic mind. The highly entertaining action thriller series is based on Ben Macintyre’s book, which charts the creation of the famed Special Forces unit. “More rebels than soldiers, Stirling’s team is every bit as complicated, flawed, & reckless as it is brave and heroic.” It stars Connor Swindells as Stirling. Season 2’s ensemble cast includes Jack O’Connell, Sofia Boutella, Dominic West, Con O’Neill, Stuart Thompson, Paolo De Vita, Anna Manuelli, Edward Bennett, Matteo Franco, and Gwilym Lee as Stirling’s brother Bill, who founded the 2SAS regiment. Season 1 took place mostly in the African deserts following this misfit team of soldiers. Season 2 continues onward as they head into Europe to work on liberating the continent from the evil Nazis. // Continue Reading ›
