Naughty Dog‘s new game is being developed under “full creative control” of studio head, Neil Druckmann. This revelation comes from the head honcho himself, who spoke about the mystery project in an online panel with BioShock creator Ken Levine.
Naughty Dog’s new game has been in development since 2020
Druckmann further revealed that the upcoming game, which Naughty Dog has kept tightly under wraps, has been in development since 2020. He added that Sony won’t allow him to announce the game, but has given him full creative control of it.
The panel was titled ‘Jewish Visionaries in Gaming: Ken Levine and Neil Druckmann Inspire the Next Generation.’ For reasons unbeknownst to us, it has been pulled from YouTube and I am unable to find another copy, but I did find a Facebook event page for the webinar. Reddit users also took screenshots of the live panel.
We know next to nothing about Naughty Dog’s next game, but rumors suggest that it’s a fantasy title that focuses on player freedom. There’s also speculation that it’ll be a first-person game, based on what we’ve read in job ads.
What we do know is that this mystery project isn’t The Last of Us Part 3.
