Official Trailer for Dark, Haunting New Version of ‘The Little Mermaid’

“Are you accusing my new girlfriend of being a mermaid?” Lionsgate has revealed an official trailer for a public domain B-movie horror creation called The Little Mermaid, yes a dark and gritty horror take on this classic story. Don’t forget The Little Mermaid is originally based on Hans Christian Andersen’s story from his book, it’s not a Disney creation. This new take is from the same director of Transmorphers, The Witches of Oz, and Piranha Sharks. Dr. Eric Prince, an archaeologist, makes a dramatic discovery on a small Caribbean island – proof of an ancient, advanced prehistoric society. While his dig is in progress, he meets the mysterious and beautiful Aurora Bey and falls in love with her, only to discover she’s really a mermaid. This features Mike Markoff, Jeff Denton, Samuel Selman, Sean-Michael Argo, Winston Crooke, Steven Yniguez, Manon Laurent, and Lydia Helen as the mermaid Aurora.
