“Filmed over a year.” Meet the people of Liverpool. 🇬🇧 Shut Out The Light Films has unveiled the official trailer for a documentary film called Liverpool Story, arriving in UK cinemas this month. No US release but UK cinephiles might want to keep an eye out for this. “Liverpool takes centre stage in this year-in-the-life documentary portrait. An observation of a city and its people over the passing seasons.” Liverpool is a cathedral city, port city, and metropolitan borough in Merseyside, England – it became a major port city in the 17th century as a borough in Lancashire. Director Daniel Draper explains: “Liverpool’s become a go-to destination for productions – easily disguised as London, New York, Moscow or even Gotham City. Given this, I thought it was time to make Liverpool the leading lady of her own movie. I spent a year walking and filming the streets of the place I call home, documenting how a city operates over a single year… making a film about humans; the importance of community, fragile memories and the passing of time.” Sounds good. // Continue Reading ›
