While you need to obtain a dolphin to complete the Ocean page in your Bestiary, they’re also a cool catch to show off, especially if you’re lucky enough to get a Mutated one. Firstly, let’s worry about getting a standard dolphin before you start grinding for a special kind!
How to Catch a Dolphin
With the dolphin being a Legendary catch in Fisch, it’s best if you pay attention to its preferences to ensure that you have a higher chance of reeling one in. Yes, there’s a small chance that you can obtain a Legendary without meeting any of its requirements, but this makes it much more difficult.
In Fisch, dolphins prefer the weather to be nice and clear. They don’t like the nighttime and are more likely to swim around ocean waters during the daylight hours. As for the season, dolphins are more likely to appear during the Spring and Summer. I suggest sailing your boat out into the ocean and fishing there! The dolphins reside there rather than by the islands.
Meeting any of these preferences grants you a higher chance, but meeting them all at once almost guarantees a catch! Luckily, they don’t care which bait you use, so you can opt for any of the types that give you Universal Luck. I recommend the:
