PS Plus Essential November 2024 monthly games lineup was announced earlier this week to a negative reception from subscribers. The inclusion of Ghostwire: Tokyo has irked a number of members because the former PS5 exclusive was part of the Extra catalog up until March 2024.
Why Ghostwire: Tokyo’s inclusion in PS Plus November 2024 lineup is being criticized
Although Ghostwire: Tokyo wasn’t a massive commercial hit when it launched, its inclusion in the Extra catalog was well-received. Members say that considering the game only left the catalog a little over seven months ago, it’s a little too soon to bring it back as part of the Essential games lineup.
Some have pointed out that Epic Games Store is currently giving Ghostwire: Tokyo away for free to everyone without the need for a paid subscription.
“Genuinely no excuse for how bad PS plus is getting, especially considering they nearly doubled the price,” complained one user on Reddit. “Wow, what a month. An Extra repeat,” wrote another on the PS Blog. Many made similar comments on numerous forums.
It’s worth pointing out that although Extra users have access to Essential games, those on the cheapest tier will not have played Ghostwire: Tokyo unless they purchased it. The monthly lineup is primarily for Essential users, not Extra and Premium subscribers.
