Sony has yet to reveal the list of games leaving PS Plus Extra and Premium in December 2024, but based on established departure patterns, it’s not too difficult to figure out what’s leaving. In September, it was accurately guessed that Star Ocean franchise would depart the service, and in the following months, speculations that Dragon Quest and Kingdom Hearts series will leave the catalog turned out to be true. Now, it’s being speculated that Capcom’s Mega Man series will leave in December.
Why Mega Man is expected to be among games leaving PS Plus in December 2024
Reddit user kayrakaanonline, who rarely ever misses, pointed out that Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 + 2 and Mega Man 11 were added to PS Plus Extra and Premium in December 2023. Capcom games typically depart the service at the 12-month mark, so Mega Man games leaving is a pretty educated guess.
Most recently, Capcom’s Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen was confirmed to be leaving at the 12-month mark. It’s among the list of games departing in mid November.
Sony will confirm December’s departures shortly after November’s additions go live, but if you’re playing the Mega Man games or intend to give them a go, we highly recommend prioritizing them now.
