Anime Vanguards Choso – Evolution and Abilities

The Mythic Anime Vanguards Choso unit comes with a great debuff applicator ability! Inflict enemies with a DoT attack that depletes their HP as your other units strike.

Anime Vanguards Choso

While we all know him as Choso, he’s called Chaso in Anime Vanguards. He has an evolved form, but first, let’s look at his base stats and abilities before we get ahead of ourselves! To obtain Choso for yourself, you need to pull on the main banners. He’s a Mythical unit, so he’s quite rare, with an overall drop rate chance of 2.1%. However, you have a 0.5% in general for any Mythical unit to drop.

Choso Abilities

The entire point of Choso is the fact that he’s a Bleed unit. If you don’t know what that is, well, in game terms it’s a debuff! It’s effectively a DoT (Damage Over Time) debuff that slowly chips away at the HP of your enemies.

Blood Manipulation

The actual name of this ability is Blood Manipulation, which takes influence from the Cursed Technique of Choso. This Bleed debuff deals damage equal to 35% of Choso’s overall damage stat.

Flowing Blood (Evolution ability)

You unlock this second ability once you evolve the standard Choso unit, his evolution is Chaso (Blood Curse). When an enemy is affected by the Bleed debuff, every attack you perform deals an additional 5% damage, which stacks up to 50%.

To evolve Choso into Choso (Blood Curse), you need to collect:

Hardened Blood

Obtaining Hardened Blood requires you to have the Legend Stages for the Shibuya Station map unlocked. It’s Act 3, Controlled Sorcerer that you need to have access to, as this is the only one that drops the Hardened Blood item. To unlock Act 3, you must complete Act 1 and Act 2 of the Legend Stages beforehand.
