Finding Old Friends is a new quest for Simba in Disney Dreamlight Valley added with the free update, Jungle Getaway. Players will be able to begin this quest by speaking to Simba after updating their game to the latest patch. This guide will walk you through the Finding Old Friends quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How to Complete Finding Old Friends Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Starting the Quest
The Finding Old Friends is initiated by speaking with Simba and he tells you to get his friends, Timon and Pumbaa from The Lion King Realm. However, this quest will not trigger until you have reached Level 10 with Simba and Nala.
NOTE: According to players’ statements, Scar also needs to be at Friendship Level 10 to trigger the quest.
Once you have a Friendship Level 10 with Simba, Nala, and Scar, a quest marker will appear on Simba. Speak with him to initiate the quest and he will tell you to go to The Lion King Realm.
Find Timon in the Lion King Realm
After starting the quest, go to The Lion King Realm either through the main Realm door or by teleporting directly to the Realm. Watch the brief cutscene of the Realm and then continue straight on the path to go through a small cave. Go towards the waterfall to find both Timon and Pumbaa.
Gather the materials
After speaking with Timon, gather the following jungle materials in The Lion King Realm.
4x Jungle Stone
4x Jungle Wood
4x Red Jungle Leaf
You can find all of these materials on the ground in the Lion King Realm. Simply walk through the jungle and pick up the shiny stones, wood, and leaves from the ground. Make sure to check all the accessible areas at the moment to find all the materials.
Bring the materials to Timon and craft a Red Leafy Mane
After gathering all the materials, bring them to Timon near the pond under the waterfall. Once done, interact with the Crafting Station and craft a Red Leafy Mane with 4x Red Jungle Leaf. You can find the recipe for Red Leafy Mane under the ‘Functional Items’ tab. Now, equip the Red Leafy Mane and speak with Timon.
Follow and listen to Timon and Pumbaa
After speaking with Timon, follow him and Pumbaa to their camp ahead. Listen to their conversation and then speak with Timon again.
Fish out the Lost Crown and craft an Empty Vial
Timon will mention a crown poking out of water in the Realm and tell you to fish it out, Moreover, you need to craft an Empty Vial as well. To find the Lost Crown, go back to the Jungle River and look for the gold ripple in the river. Equip the Royal Fishing Rod and cast the line in the bubble to fish out the Lost Crown. Now, go back to the Crafting Station and craft an Empty Vial with 3x Glass.
NOTE: Glass is also an enhanced material and requires Sand and Coal to craft.
Bring the items to Timon
After fishing out the Lost Crown and crafting an Empty Vial, bring them to Timon at the camp. Go through the dialogues and then he will ask you to break the crown. Equip the Royal Pickaxe tool and hit the rock with a crown on it to break the Lost Crown.
Follow Timon to the jungle river
Now, follow Timon and Pumbaa back to the jungle river where you found the Lost Crown. Speak with Timon and go through the dialogues. Go near the river and interact with a sparkling spot on the ground to put the Bottle of Worries into the river.
Once done, go back to Timon and Pumbaa’s camp. The time will skip to the night and then speak with Timon.
Prepare some leafy beds with your shovel
After speaking to Timon, equip the Royal Shovel tool and dig the leaves on the ground to prepare Timon’s bed, Pumbaa’s bed, and your bed. Now, say goodnight to Timon and Pumbaa. Interact with your leafy bed to lie down and listen to the conversation between Timon and Pumbaa.
Once the conversation ends, the time will skip to the morning and the quest will conclude.
