Getting infected in You Will Die Here Tonight drastically lowers the survival time for the playable characters and eventually leads to their death as they turn into a walking zombie. Every character in the game has a specific task to accomplish and if the character dies before completing the task, it will restart the game requiring you to redo all of the tasks. That is why, it is crucial to know how to cure infection in You Will Die Here Tonight.

How to Cure Infection in You Will Die Here Tonight

The infection can be cured by injecting the Parasite Sample 1540. You can obtain the Parasite Sample 1540 by defeating the first boss, Jeffrey Monroe. You will first find Monroe dead near the dining area and as you explore more of the area, Monroe will turn into a zombie and move to the east side of the mansion. Follow the blood trail to reach the funeral room and as you go out of the funeral room, you will encounter Monroe.

Here, you will have two choices, you can either run or fight Monroe. If you want to get the Parasite Sample 1540, fight and defeat Monroe. Once you have obtained the sample, you need to solve the Library Puzzle to reach the Secret Area. Here, your first character will meet its unfortunate fate and you will get to play as Katherine Olsson. Loot Monroe’s Sample from Ashley’s body and place it inside the Laboratory Terminal (fabricator).

The fabricator will process the sample and turn it into an IV Bag that you can place on the IV Stand in the southern part of the room. After placing the IV Bag, you will be able to inject the sample to cure the infection by interacting with it. However, the sample is limited and it contains only 6 doses in total meaning you can only cure infection for 6 times throughout the game.

NOTE: Getting infected will start a 5-minute timer for the character to die and turn it into a zombie.

You cannot bring the IV Bag with you and you must reach the Secret Area with any infected character to cure the infection.
