Princess Zelda goes on her first Solo adventure of saving the Hyrule World and Link in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom acquiring various abilities along the way to help achieve the goal. The opening of the rift has made Hyrule a cruel place with impostors roaming around. To survive and get better equipment for Zelda, it is crucial to get a hefty amount of Rupee (the main currency).
This guide will go over the methods to farm Rupees efficiently in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.
How to Farm Rupees in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
Rupee is the primary currency in the Zelda franchise and it is the same in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. There are various ways through which you will obtain Rupee, mainly by defeating the enemies in the wild. During your adventure, you will find various colors of Rupee, each representing a certain amount of Rupees.
Green – 1 Rupee
Blue – 5 Rupees
Red – 20 Rupees
Purple – 50 Rupees
Silver – 100 Rupees
NOTE: Purple and Silver Rupees are very rare and usually obtained by looting hidden chests in the wild.
Best Methods for Farming Rupees in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
From the moment you escape from the jail and come out to Suthorn Forest, you can start implementing these methods to earn a great amount of Rupees.
Loot Treasure Chests: The primary way of getting a high amount of Rupees at once is by finding and looting the treasure chests hidden in the wild. Every region of Hyrule World has several hidden chests and offers Red, Purple, and Silver Rupees.
Dive into the Water Pools: Various early areas of the game will have water patches in which Zelda can dive to find valuables at the surface. Usually, the water surfaces have Blue Rupees on them so it is best to dive in any water patch you come across during the exploration.
Swing and Cut the Grass: Use the spinning mechanic of Zelda to cut the grass patches in the wild to have a chance of finding Green Rupee.
Burn the Grass using Ignizol Echo: During your adventure through Suthorn Forest, you can enter a cave shortly after activating the first Waypoint in the game. In this cave, you will encounter Ignizol, a fire monster. Defeat the monster by throwing rocks and then learn its echo. After that, use Ignizol Echo on any grass patch to burn it along with nearby grass patches. Burning the grass patches usually drops more Green Rupees.
Defeat the Enemies: As mentioned above, defeating the enemies is a primary way of getting rupees. However, using certain echoes at enemies will make them drop rupees than usual, such as Crow Echo.
Use the Crow Echo to Defeat Enemies: You will encounter crows in the Gerudo Desert region, and upon defeating one, you can learn its echo. After learning the Crow Echo, summon it to attack the enemies. The Crow Echo makes the enemies drop Green and Blue Rupees on the ground. Moreover, an active Crow Echo can also fetch a dropped rupee for you if you miss any.
How to Use the Rupees in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
Rupees are used at shops around the world to purchase various items including accessories and clothes. During your adventure, you will come across all sorts of shops offering unique accessory items, clothes, and even ingredients for smoothies. It is best to purchase any item you see fit for your adventure.
