Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom offers a new Hyrule World with Princess Zelda as the main protagonist of the game. As it is her first main adventure in the Zelda franchise, she has access to various abilities that help her get over the challenges. Moreover, the exploration feature of the game is one of the core mechanics as there are several hidden collectibles and items to be found.
Now, there are a couple of ways to get around the Hyrule World including fast traveling using the Waypoints or riding on a horse. Yes, Zelda can call on a horse and travel quickly through nearby areas. This guide will help you get a free horse early in the adventure of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.
How to Get a FREE Horse Early in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
During your early adventure of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, head to the Hyrule Field region located southwest of Hyrule Castle. As you reach the Hyrule Field, you will run into the Hyrule Ranch location. Here, you will find the owner of the Ranch with a quest bubble on its head. Speak to the owner to learn about a missing horse and it will start the ‘Runaway Horse’ quest.
How to Complete the Runaway Horse Quest in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
The owner will tell you that the horse went to the west side and hasn’t returned, so go to the west of the Hyrule Ranch location until you come across a pond with land in the middle. It is not far from the Ranch, and you can see the exact location in the image below.
Once there, you will see the Brown Horse standing on the land in the middle of the pond. Cross over to the land by placing a couple of beds and then Press the A button while being close to the horse to ride it. Now, take the horse back to the ranch to complete the quest.
Upon completing the Runaway Horse quest, the owner of the Ranch will let you rent out horses (Brown and Gray) for free. Simply, get on the horse and ride it to explore the Hyrule World more quickly. However, these horses cannot be called upon/summoned at any place. If you leave a horse in a certain place, you have to get them back from the same location.
How to Summon a Horse in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
Only Zelda’s Horse or the White Horse in the game can be summoned using the Carrot Echo which is obtained after completing Impa’s Gift quest. Moreover, the White Horse is also offered as a reward for completing Impa’s Gift quest.
Once you have completed Impa’s Gift quest, you can use the Carrot Echo anywhere to summon the White Horse and then ride it to your next destination.
