Oil is one of the valuable resources in Cities: Skylines II as it is used by various industries as well as to produce electricity. Having an oil industry of your own in your dream city can help your city reach huge success and can earn you a lot of profit for exporting the oil to other cities.
In this guide, we’ll tell you how to get oil in Cities: Skylines II.
How to Get Oil in Cities: Skylines II
There are several ways to get oil in Cities: Skylines II but the best method to get oil is extracting it from your land. You can view if your land has oil deposits underground or not by changing the zones. The oil zone is presented with dark brown patches allowing you to build an oil extractor on the patches to extract oil and use it to run your industries as well as export it to earn money. To build an oil extractor in Cities: Skylines II, follow the following steps.
Select the Specialized Industry under the Zones tab.
Select the Oil Drilling.
Zoom out of the map to get a better view of the oil patches. Go over the largest oil patch in your land and then click the land to confirm the oil drilling over the selected patch.
Now, cover the maximum amount of land with oil drilling land by creating a node. Spread the node in a way that the whole oil area is covered to confirm the oil drilling and maximum production.
It is best to set up the oil industries all over the owned land of your starting map to have the highest oil production to both turn it into electricity, provide for other working industries, and earn money. To increase your oil industry work, you can buy more land and build oil industries on it.
