The Iron Sword is a Tier I one-handed weapon in The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria. Moria is filled with various enemy types and creatures that will push you and the dwarf community from taking over Moria and you should have a weapon to defend yourself. It is one of the effective weapons that you will get to craft while progressing through the depths of Moria and use it to eliminate multiple foes with its wide arc slash attacks.
In this guide, we’ll go over how to craft the Iron Sword in The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria.
How to Craft Iron Sword in The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria
Iron Sword is one of the early weapons that you will be able to craft in the early hours of your gameplay but it does require a Forge station to be crafted. Unlike the starting tools and weapons, Iron Sword cannot be crafted via field crafting requiring you to gather all the required resources to craft it using the forge station. The required resources to craft Iron Sword are the following.
3x Iron Ingot
4x Wood Scraps
1x Hide Scraps
Iron Ingots are obtained by smelting Iron Ores in the Furnace station. Wood Scraps are gathered easily as they are scattered throughout Moria and can be obtained by breaking the wooden furniture. Hide Scraps are obtained from killing wild animals as well as from the barrels so, break any wooden barrel you see to get all the possible Hide Scraps.
After obtaining all the required resources, you need to go and interact with the Forge station and craft the Iron Sword by selecting its recipe.
It will be crafted instantly and stored in your quick inventory slot only if there is any free slot otherwise, it will be stored in your backpack’s inventory. It is best to keep the Iron Sword in the quick inventory slots as you will be encountering various enemies throughout the adventure and it allows you to tackle multiple enemies at once due to its wide slashing attacks.
Keep in mind that the Iron Sword also has durability like any other tools, weapons, and armor in the game. Using the sword will gradually decrease its durability eventually breaking it and requiring you to craft it again. Alternatively, you can also repair it at the Repair Smithy station with Metal Fragments.
