During the PAX West 2024 event, many attendees got to play the Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom demo, surprising many fans with several new details. The whole playable demo was about 15 minutes and the first thing that one of the clips confirmed is that Link is a playable character and the game actually begins as Link instead of Zelda.
This was confirmed because one of the referees mistakenly started the New Game instead of the Demo and it showcased the first cutscene where the game brings out Link and gives a brief Sword mechanics tutorial.
Another great detail that was captured by the fans was the difficulties in the game, including Normal and Hero. Hero is the hard difficulty and is recommended for experienced players because it makes Zelda take 2x damage, the hearts won’t spawn, and some accessory effects won’t be applied.
Moreover, the fans also shared the information that you can place up to 30 Pins on the map at a time in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. Lastly, the fans also shared that they didn’t experience any frame drops during their 15-minute Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom demo.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is set to release on September 26, 2024, for the Nintendo Switch.
