The upcoming Vessel of Hatred Expansion will offer a lot more than a new class, a new region, and end-game activities like Dark Citadel, as Rod Fergusson, the General Manager of Diablo 4 confirmed that Customizable Waypoints for Town Portals feature will be included on launch of the Vessel of Hatred, whereas, the Customizable Loadouts feature will shortly come after the launch of the expansion.

The community has been requesting these two features for quite some time and they will finally be able to experience them with the new expansion. The customizable waypoints for Town Portals are fully functional as a lot of players got to playtest the Spiritborn class at Gamescom 2024, they also tested the waypoint feature.

The way the customizable waypoint feature works is that you can mark any Waypoint in the open world as a favorite by pressing the RMB (default), which binds the Town Portal location to the favorited one instead of the town region. This feature will be added straightaway with the expansion, Customizable Loadouts on the other hand will be added after some time as it is currently been worked on.

Rod Fergusson said that the team is working on an armory feature that will allow players to change between the various builds without needing to make any adjustments. However, the official release date for this feature is not sure but it is expected to be released ahead of the launch of the expansion.

Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred expansion comes out on October 8, 2024.
